Now docking at the White Marlin Marina. Muff Diver Charters has been providing families and anglers many happy and fun filled fishing trips from Ocean City, Maryland to Hatteras, N.C. for the past 30 years. We troll, chum, chunk or bottom fish. We use dead rigged bait as well as lures when trolling. We use the appropriate bait when we bottom fish, chunk or chum. Normally, while trolling we use 8 to 10 rods. When we hook a Marlin, we normally clear all the other lines and concentrate on the task at hand - catching the Marlin! We provide all the tackle and bait for the trip but you may bring your own weapon of choice.
June through October we are fishing from White Marlin Marina Slip 5 in Ocean City, MD. June is prime Mako and Thrasher Shark time along with Slammer Bluefish. In the first couple of weeks Yellowfin Tuna appear in the canyons if the water temperature is good - above 66F. The last couple of weeks in June the large Bluefin Tuna start to show up. July, August, September and October you can expect to catch Blue and White Marlin, an occasional Sailfish or Spearfish, Swordfish, Tuna, Dolphin, Shark, False Albacore, Sea Bass and Tilefish to name several. September through October is great Yellowfin Tuna and Wahoo fishing in Ocean City.
April and May is Trophy Striper season in Maryland. The season starts the 3rd Saturday of April and ends on May 15th. This is the time of the year that the really large ones show up in the Chesapeake Bay and fishing is normally "out of this world". We are allowed 1 Striper per person above 28" but during that time of the year we rarely catch anything under 36" and many trips we catch several above the 40" mark. We do 1/2 and Full Day trips during the Trophy season. November and December is our Fall Striper Season with plenty of action. We can catch and keep 2 Stripers per person. Each angler is allowed 1 "under" fish from 18 to 28 inches and 1 "over" fish from 28". We only do "Full Day" trips during this season.
